Hot Chi Chicken is the Chicago-Style, Nashville Hot Chicken concept from brothers Amer and Mutaz Abdullah and business partner Kinan Moufti. The flagship restaurant opened on Chicago’s South Side in 2021, with an ethos rooted in “faith, fun, and hip hop.” With humor at the forefront of the brand, Hot Chi Chicken wowed Chicago with their “Popeyes Ain’t Sh!t” Chicken Sandwich, Hot Honey Butta' Chicken Sandwich, and Nashville Hot Chicken Tenders. The original menu is the collaboration between Chef/Partner Mutaz Abdullah (Cedars Mediterranean Kitchen, Habanero Baja Grill, Mezza Mediterranean Grill) and Chef Amado Lopez (Rick Bayless, Charlie Trotter), showcasing menu items with Southern, Middle Eastern and Mexican flavor inspiration.
