Zaytune Mediterranean Grill

Executive Chef and Owner of Zaytune Mediterranean Grill, Dan, first became interested in cooking at the age of 13 while being a taster in his mother’s kitchen. After working as a Sous Chef and Executive Sous Chef for many years, he opened his first Zaytune Mediterranean Grill on the Southside of Chicago in the Bridgeport neighborhood in 2009.

Zaytune is derived from the Arabic word “olive” and is their way of celebrating the deep connection they have to traditional Mediterranean cuisine — with a modern twist. From vegetarian falafels to steak shawarma, all of their dishes feature the freshest produce and herbs.
